Specialisterne Australia offers an alternative for people with Autism and AS to connect with employers who recognise the valuable contributions and talents that Autistic and AS people can bring to their organisations. We are about creating career opportunities for people—not just jobs. We offer a tailored workshop and assessment program whereby applicants can demonstrate in a practical, hands-on environment their skills and abilities, directly to employers for roles in the fields of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). A particularly unique part of our recruitment and assessment process Is our PreEmployment Assessment Workshops, where we use a variety of assessment tools to identify particular strengths of candidates and better understand individuals specialist competencies, and any support needs in the workplace.
In April 2017, Specialisterne will invite a limited number of applicants from Victoria to participate in a sample of Specialisterne’s globally recognised Assessment Workshops. Over 4 days, participants will be involved in a range of activities which will allow the Specialisterne facilitators to observe individual strengths and competencies across various aspects of STEM. You will participate in both individual and group challenges during the program using LEGO Mindstorms education robots. All participants will be presented with a Certificate of Participation as well as a Candidate Profile report at the conclusion of the week. This report will be produced by Specialisterne Employment Service Managers and will outline each participants’ strengths and specialist qualities based on observations throughout the STEMLabs workshop.
Each participant will also have the option to be included on Specialisterne’s employment program notification list. Throughout 2017 and beyond, Specialisterne will keep participants of each STEMLabs Workshop informed of Specialisterne exclusive employment opportunities in Victoria and around Australia.
There is NO COST to participate in the workshops.
