Cyber Professional

The role
Title of role/s: Associate (61) Cyber Security Professional
Duties include:

  • Undertake threat & vulnerability services including web application penetration tests, internal network penetration tests, and vulnerability management services.
  • Provide input and recommendations for reporting, liaise with and present to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Number of roles available: 3
Location of roles: PWC Melbourne, 2 Riverside Quay, Southbank, VIC.

Applicant requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age or over.
  • Must have a diagnosis of autism (including Autism spectrum disorder, Asperger’s disorder, Autistic disorder, or PDD-NOS).
  • Must have proof of Australian Citizenship or right to work in Australia.
  • Ideally possess a bachelor’s degree or TAFE qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Cyber Security or similarly related discipline or have real-world experience in practical application of Cyber Security practices.
  • An understanding of computer programming languages such as Python, C++, Java or others will be highly regarded.
  • Should live within (or are willing to relocate on a permanent basis to) a daily commutable distance of Melbourne CBD.
  • All candidates must be able to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Working Clearance.
  • Must be able to attend a 1-day Candidate Pre-Screening Workshop during the week of Monday, May 7th and if successful attend in full a 3-week PwC/Specialisterne Training and Assessment phase beginning 14th May and continuing until Friday, June 1st.

Step 1 of application process
Send an email to applications.au@specialisterne.com including the following two things:

  • A letter of application, CV or resume OR a document of any format that lets us know about any experience (paid or unpaid), interests and skills you have related to the advertised roles is OK.
  • Evidence of a positive ASD or Asperger’s Syndrome diagnosis i.e., Diagnostic Assessment or a letter from a treating medical practitioner.

Applications close at 2pm on Thursday 3rd May, 2018. All applicants will be contacted and advised of the outcome by 5pm on 4th May, 2018. Following the completion of these two steps the applicant will:

  • Receive an acknowledgement of the receipt of their application within 48 hours, during normal working days.

 


The recruitment process

Please note: Applications are open for individuals who are on the autism spectrum. Any individual aged 18 years or older with a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder, Asperger’s disorder, PDD-NOS, or Autistic disorder may apply.

Stage 1 of recruitment process

This application (including Step 1 and Step 2 as above).

Stage 2 of recruitment process

  • Shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend and participate in a one-day informational workshop in Melbourne, which will be held during the week beginning Monday 7th May.
  • All applicants who complete the workshops will be contacted and advised of the outcome of the workshops and if they have been selected to move onto the next stage of the process by 5pm on Thursday, May 10th.
  • Those applicants who have not been successful in being offered a place in the next stage will also be notified of this from 5pm on Thursday,  May 10th

Stage 3 of recruitment process

  • Those applicants who have been offered a place in the next stage will be invited to participate in a three-week training and assessment program onsite at PwC Melbourne. This will form the last stage of the training and assessment process for employment with PwC Melbourne.
  • The training and assessment program will be held from the week beginning Monday 14th May, concluding on Friday June 1st
  • All attendees of the assessment will be advised of the outcome of their application by 6pm Tuesday, June 5th
  • Successful applicants can expect formal notification of offers of employment with PwC from Wednesday, June 6th

 

Applicants at any stage who are not successful in being offered a position, will be contacted by a member of the Specialisterne team in the weeks following the conclusion of the 3-week training and assessment program to discuss the outcome of their application.
